Cursor specializes in training youth athletes to improve on the field performance. Your youth athlete will be trained by a former division one athlete, collegiate strength and conditioning coach, and doctor of physical therapy that understands what it takes to improve performance and play at the next level. We offer both group and one on one training for athletes of all sports.

    Meet Josh – Doctor of Physical Therapy, Former D1 Athlete & Youth Sports Performance Coach

    Josh is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with years of experience in sports medicine and strength and conditioning—rooted in his own background as a Division I volleyball player. He knows firsthand what it takes to train, compete, and recover at a high level.

    After earning his doctorate from Clarke University in Iowa, Josh went on to work with a wide range of athletes—from youth sports to collegiate and professional levels. His strength and conditioning experience includes coaching collegiate athletes across multiple sports, helping them improve power, speed, and resilience while staying healthy throughout the season.

    Clinically, Josh specializes in shoulder injuries, running-related pain, and full-body performance. He’s worked closely with endurance athletes, overhead athletes, and active adults—always with a strong focus on restoring movement, building strength, and creating programs that last.

    As a UESCA-certified running coach and an avid runner himself (currently training for a 100-mile ultramarathon), Josh blends the science of rehab with the art of coaching. His passion lies in helping young athletes unlock their potential—whether that means returning from injury stronger than before, building sport-specific strength, or improving athleticism to compete at the next level.
